IND VS SA : Dean Elgar for South Africa loses meekly to Mohammed Siraj in the final Test against India after completing 1000 runs.

In his final Test match, which was played at the Newlands in Cape Town, Dean Elgar chose to bat first against India. Unfortunately, he did not do well in the match. After scoring a fantastic hundred and leading the Proteas to victory at the Newlands in Cape Town by an innings and 32 runs, the southpaw entered the game. The Proteas had won the match by an innings and 32 runs.

However, the left-handed batter was unable to maintain the momentum in the second test match, which was played against India and Rohit Sharma. Following Mohammed Siraj’s dismissal of Aiden Markram, the opening batter, Elgar also left the game without much of a fuss, scoring four runs off of fifteen balls.

The ball was returned to the batsman by Siraj, who had come from around the wicket and taken possession of it. The only thing that Elgar could do was succeed in getting an inside edge onto the stumps because he was caught in the crease.

Siraj was ecstatic, despite the fact that Elgar had to return home feeling disheartened. The dismissal of Elgar at a low cost resulted in South Africa being reduced to 8 for 2 after 5.3 overs.

Dean Elgar has reached a significant milestone.

In the meantime, Elgar had one cause to cheer for him, despite the fact that he was unsuccessful in Cape Town. Over the course of the test match against India, the veteran scored a thousand runs. During the course of 15 tests played against India, Elgar amassed a total of 1000 runs, with an average of 41.66, and 2 hundreds to his credit. At the PCA Stadium in Mohali, he also took four wickets in a match against India in November of 2015. This match took place in September of 2015.

Up to this point, Elgar has participated in 86 Test matches, during which he has amassed a total of 5335 runs, earned an average of 38.10, and achieved 14 hundreds. In addition, Elgar was given the opportunity to captain the Proteas in his final test match, which was played when Temba Bavuma was unable to play due to an injury.
