Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board lodged an official complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) on the misbehaviour of spectators at the stadium during the World Cup match between India and Pakistan and the refusal of visas for Pakistani journalists and fans. Mickey Arthur, director of the Pakistan cricket team, had already voiced his displeasure at the crowd’s lack of enthusiasm.
India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in a World Cup match on April 14 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Pakistan scored 191 runs before being bowled out in 42.5 overs. Babar Azam, captain of Pakistan, scored the team’s highest total with 50 runs.
