On Wednesday, the results of the lucky draw for the Thiruvonam Bumper BR-93 will be announced by the lottery department in the state of Kerala. Mathrubhumi reports that the outcome would be announced at two in the afternoon. The lottery site claims that the amount of money that will be awarded to the winner of the first prize is the most money that has ever been awarded in the entire history of Kerala’s lottery. The Government of Kerala is in charge of running the Kerala State Lotteries, which were first launched in 1967. Ahead of this, the Kerala lottery department had, in order to celebrate the beginning of the new year according to the Malayalam calendar, announced the winners of the Vishu Bumper.
According to another part of the Mathrubhumi report, an unprecedented amount of Thiruvonam Bumper tickets had been purchased. On Wednesday, the final day that tickets could be purchased, one lakh tickets were sold by 10 in the morning.
There have been a total of 66 lakh sales of tickets.
Because of the modification made to the way prizes are awarded, lottery department officials have reported that more tickets have been sold this year than in previous years.
Twenty individuals will each receive one crore rupees, which is the equivalent of the second prize. According to the site, there was just one reward worth 5 crore as the second prize in the competition the year before, 50 lakh each to 20 different persons as the third prize, and 5 lakh each for 10 different people as the fourth prize.
Ticket number VE 475588 was drawn as the winner of the first prize in the Vishu Bumper BR-91 lottery, which was worth 12 Crore. During a lottery draw event that was held at Gorky Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram, state finance minister KN Balagopal revealed the details of the bumper lottery that will be held in 2023.
