On Thursday, the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and star Alia Bhatt of “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” actor Kriti Sanon of “Mimi,” and director Shoojit Sircar of “Sardar Udham” all expressed their satisfaction after their respective films won multiple accolades at the 69th Annual National Film Awards.

Both “Gangubai Kathiawadi” and “Mimi” actresses, Bhatt and Sanon, were nominated for and shared the prize for best actress.

Bhatt thanked Bhansali, the cast and crew of the film, her family, her teammates, and the audience for their support.

“You deserve this national honour because without each and every one of you, none of this would be possible. I mean, truly!!! I am in awe of your generosity. I try to treat times like this with the seriousness they deserve. I have high hopes that I will be able to keep entertaining people for a very long time. Love and light,” she stated in the photo that she shared on Instagram.

She also congratulated Sanon on her triumph for best actress and remarked that the award was “well deserved” for the “Mimi” star.

It’s Krit.. I can still remember sending you a message the day that I went to see Mimi… it was such an open and moving performance. “The world is your oyster, @kritisanon,” Alia added after she had finished crying. “I cried and cried.” “So so well deserved.”
Sanon mentioned that being honoured by the panel of the National Film Awards was a significant event for her.

“This film will now hold a special place in my filmography for the rest of my life,” Sanon told PTI. “I am very grateful to everyone who worked on it.”
