Passenger Vehicle : In November, the dispatch of passenger vehicles from manufacturers to dealerships experienced a notable increase, rising by 4 percent year on year to reach an impressive total of 347,522 units, as reported by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on Friday. This marks a significant uptick compared to the previous year’s count of 333,833 units for the same month.
Conversely, the wholesale figures for two-wheelers presented a less favorable trend, experiencing a slight decline of 1 percent year on year. Last month’s sales totaled 1,604,749 units, down from 1,623,399 units in November of the prior year. Additionally, three-wheeler dispatches also reflected this downward trajectory with a similar decrease of 1 percent year on year, totaling 59,350 units in November compared to last year’s figures. This data paints a mixed picture of the automotive market’s performance during this period.
